Looks like we lost more in any two weeks of WW2 than the entire Iraq war.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/deaths.asp
Troy CaffeyTroyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04354300073369789159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6644451545626923570.post-87898138049166575142008-03-24T21:02:00.000-04:002008-03-24T21:02:00.000-04:00I'm sure you could also find the data for 2007 som...I'm sure you could also find the data for 2007 somewhere, although that would inflate the numbers of dead under Bush II's reign.

This report you cite doesn't seem to add up. If there were fewer than 1,000 accidental deaths, and nearly no combat deaths, how did these other soldiers die?

And note that somehow, during these last few years, the accidental deaths have dropped, yet the total number of dead has steadily risen.

Yes, soldiers die for other reasons than combat, that is just life. The problem with these last 5 years is that there were so many combat deaths that should not have occurred. And those deaths ARE Bush II's fault, totally and directly.

And I'm with Traumamomma, WHY DID YOU LEAVE 1983 OFF YOUR MAGIC LIST? I knew most of those Marines, served with them, and mourn them still. You disrespect them by ignoring their sacrifice.Brandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16030144097656677108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6644451545626923570.post-30938819658854928392008-03-24T13:11:00.000-04:002008-03-24T13:11:00.000-04:00What happened to 1983 amongst other years?1983 hol...What happened to 1983 amongst other years?

1983 holds a special place in my heart at that is when the Marine bunker was bombed in Lebanon and we GOT some of the wounded at Norfolk Naval Hospital where I was a corpsman.

So, why aren't the deaths from some years reported? Oh, because Reagan was the president back then?

This blog is nothing more than GOP propraganda!TraumaMammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17177185760523053058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6644451545626923570.post-25518918092301703582008-02-16T20:37:00.000-05:002008-02-16T20:37:00.000-05:00I am sure you want the truth as I do so I checked ...I am sure you want the truth as I do so I checked the source CRS Report: Clinton 92-99 8035 T/Deaths, 1 Death due to Hostile Action, Bush 00-06 9550 T/Deaths, 3091 Deaths due to Hostile Action as of 2/9/2007. Every year from 1995-2006, except 1997 is wrong. You have greatly inreased Clinton's numbers and reduced Bush II's. I'm sure this is unintentional. Please correct this.Dave Latchawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06920730391969074511noreply@blogger.com
